On Friday December 4th Hamlin Fire and Rescue along with their first box alarm were dispatched for a fully involved garage fire.  Asst. Chief Carl Mehne was in command of the scene when he arrived on scene the whole garage was engulfed in flames.  He had the crews concentrate on keeping the house cool as well as fighting the garage fire.  The garage was so close to the house that the siding melted off of part of the house.
